Hallo an alle Patchworkfreunde, die mich hier besuchen
ich habe nach längere Zeit mal wieder etwas zu präsentieren. 2 Wandbehänge und einmal Platz Sets (zu finden in der Galerie unter "Kleinteile - Platz Sets")
Weiterhin möchte ich auf 2 Kunsthandwerker Märkte hinweise, auf denen ich auch anzutreffen bin.

2.) 32. Weihnachtsmarkt im Stadtmuseum Schleswig vom 25.bis 27.11.201

I am back again with a new computer

Hello dear friends of patchworking,
After a long time of silence I'm back again.
First of all I want to say thanks to all the visitors who are now and then here to have a look, although sometimes nothing happens.
I must tell you we had a really severe computer problem and it took some time to come through - by the way how did we survive years ago without computers? But to be honest, better a broken computer than my sewing machine. Am i right?
Well, now all my new things made in the meantime are on display.
These are three wall hangings, two hand bags and some small items like puppets, book jackets and plait baskets

There is a lot of handcraft in this wall hanging. The 450 hexagon are - as described below - cut, folded, basted and stitched. Then they are arranged to this pattern and sewn together. Below are also a few pictures from the work process.
Die Idee für diesen Wandbehang habe ich mir von einer Hotel-Eingangsglastür in Lienz abgeschaut. Ich habe hier insgesamt zwölf verschiedene Stoffe – z.T. mit Farbverlauf - verarbeitet. Allein für die ‚Bleiverglasung‘ benötigte ich etwas mehr als 12 m graue Stoff-Streifen.
Dieses Mal habe ich den ganzen Wandbehang nicht nur mit der Maschine genäht sondern auch gequiltet, diverse Linien am Rand und um alle applizierten Teile. Dadurch ist der Quilt ziemlich fest, aber mit den Glasfiberstäben im Binding hängt er doch perfekt an der Wand.

New projects on display

As I have told some time ago now I can put some new projects on display. Among other things I've done app. 80 greeting cards - one can see a little variety. From odds and ends I've done some potholders and oddments trays as well - for glasses, money, keys and other things. Furthermore there are a few sanitary bags and make up bags and than a rucksack and a laptop bag. And along the way I am still working on an UFO (unfinished object).

... even the software that runs this site. So it was time to bring everthing up to date.
We tried to change as little as possible, but couldn't help a few changes. Thus you find all important menu entries ontop of the page within the green part. The lesser used menu entries can be found on the lower left side of each page.
We tried and tested quite a lot, if everthing worked as planed - should you find anything that doesn't, please let us know.

As I'm always on the lookout for new ideas, i was thrilled by the suggestion of a virtual tour, which my son brought up.
He made some videos and now you can get a glimpse of how my exhibition looks like...

Successfull exhibition opening "Patchwork - not only traditionell"

The vernissage of my exhibition took place at the gallery Servicehaus Sandberg, Schulze-Delitzsch-Str. 21 in Flensburg at the 3 of March. There where quite a lot of visitors. Mr. Braun, head of FAB welcomed the guests. To my surprise a friend of mine presented a laudatio. I was very pleased about this. After my acceptance speech there were many discussions and sparkling wine and orange juice was offered. I am very proud about the positive feedback and I hope a lot of other visitors will find one's way to the galery. The exhibiton takes until the end of June.
